Mothers Day

So last year on Mothers Day we got the wonderful news from Cameron and Cary that they were going to give us a grandbaby. We absolutely love being grandparents and Kylie is just the cutest she could be. Well, this Mothers Day we got another surprise. Michelle and Jacob announced that they are going to give us another grandbaby. She is 11 weeks pregnant now and is due on December 2nd. We just are so excited to be receiving another grandchild. We couldn't believe how long they kept it a secret from us. They have known since April 5th and all this time didn't even let on to the good news. Michelle was laughing about our Moab trip and how she was sure it was going to be given away while we were there. She even reminded me of what I told her as we were hiking up to delicate arch. I said that next year we would be doing this again unless she was pregnant. She said that she was grumbling in her mind "I am doing this now and I am pregnant". We are so excited for them and for us to get a new grandbaby.

Moab

We just returned from our annual Moab trip. This year we were able to have the entire family join us for fun and the car show in Moab. We arrived Thursday night after a long drive, and checked into our hotel room which would eventually hold 10 people. How we all managed to fit in there is beyond me. Thankfully it was a large room. It had 3 queen beds and an area were Nik and Keren had an inflatable mattress.

On Friday Tory, Christopher, Cameron, Carly, Kylie, Michelle, Jacob & I drove through Arches National Park. It was a nice windy day. Cameron, Carly, Michelle, Jacob & I hiked up a not stroller friendly hill to see delicate arch. We didn't do the whole hike that day just one to a look out point. Because it was not stroller friendly Cameron and Jacob carried the stroller up parts of it. Kylie loved it. She was like a queen. She would smile nice and big when they picked the whole stroller up with her in it. That night Nik and Keren arrived and we had dinner at a wonderful restaurant that we usually go to. It was great to have the whole family there.

Saturday was the car show. We had the 67 and 07 Shelby's on display in a park with hundreds of other cars. Some of the Friddle fam came to see the car show and hang around with us. Most of the day was really nice weather but as the car show was winding down it started to rain. When we got back to the hotel Michelle and I went to the store for BBQ supplies. The hotel had some nice gas grills available to guests that we took advantage of. Hot dogs and rotisserie chicken were the menu items.

On Sunday Cameron, Carly, Kylie, Christopher and Tory took off in the morning for the drive home while Nik, Keren, Jacob, Michelle and I hiked up to delicate arch. It was a cool day so thankfully we weren't dying of heat. We all made it up to the top and got some great pictures. The hike is well worth the effort.
Here are some pictures of our trip.

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I know we sure did. It was a busy day with 45 people coming to share our Thanksgiving dinner with us. We had a lot of fun catching up with family and just spending time together. We missed having Grandma and Susan with us.
It was fun to see Jeri and her family again. They have been living in Canada for last couple of years and are now residents of Colorado. She has a cute little baby that I enjoyed cuddling.
The food turned out well. Thank you to everyone who helped out with it. Michelle vows that she will never make rolls again. She made 10 dozen for Thanksgiving dinner.
We are grateful for our wonderful family and friends, for good health, and this land we live in.
